Balmaceda Mountains, Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers

Enjoy a stunning landscape filled with unique flora and fauna that leads to stunning views of the glaciers.

Our journey begins at the Puerto Natales pier. We'll travel along the magnificent Seno Ultima Esperanza sea passage, and you'll enjoy spectacular views of the region's unique flora (coige, Chilean tern, lenga, inde, Chilco, and calafate) and fauna (sea lions, cormorants, condors, and gulls). Along the coast, we'll reach the Loberias, a habitat for sea lions. Arriving at Monte Balmaceda, we'll witness the power of glaciers, how they shape and transform the place. See the Balmaceda Glacier, whose large chunks break off and fall into the fjord's waters. A small lagoon also forms from the freezing and thawing of the Serrano Glacier.
