We&#39;ll discover the vestiges of the past, and to do so, we&#39;ll head north of Puerto Natales. Just over 25 km away, we&#39;ll begin a day of exploration by walking through the Archaeological Park located within the Ernesto Helmer Ranch. The trail offers views of towering mountains, crevices, ledges, and valleys. In this region, you can access the condor roosts that dominate the sky, and upon reaching the summit, you&#39;ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Eberhard Fjord, Señoret Channel, and the iconic Sofía Lagoon. Cerro Benítez is part of an archaeological and paleontological area that houses cave paintings dating back approximately 3,500 years. We&#39;ll visit the Window Cave and, from the southeast side, enter the Hidden Cave—accessible with headlamps and a careful crawl. This cave is approximately 4 meters high and 70 square meters in area. Inside, we&#39;ll observe ancient stalactites formed by the accumulation of salts and minerals due to the infiltration and dripping of water over thousands of years. After this adventure, we&#39;ll leave the cave and head toward a set of ledges called the &quot;Two Horseshoes.&quot; Along the way, we&#39;ll hike through dense forests until finally observing the cave paintings on the walls of this rock formation that was once the seabed. An exceptional day trip to Torres del Paine and Milodon Cave from Puerto Natales! You&#39;ll visit Milodon Cave and various viewpoints in Torres del Paine National Park, such as Lago Grey, Pehoe, Lago Nordensjold, Salto Grande, and other highlights of the park and its surroundings. This tour will give you the time and the best angle to capture great photos that will be your most precious souvenir of your stay in Patagonia. We will pick you up from your accommodation between 7:30 and 8:00 am and you will be back in Puerto Natales at approximately 7:00 pm. Our first stop is at the Milodón Cave, a natural monument made up of three caves in the southern part of Chile, where the remains of milodóns, large herbivorous mammals that likely became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene, were found. Next, we&#39;ll head to Torres del Paine National Park. The park route takes us to the Grey sector. Here you can enjoy a wonderful walk along the shore of Grey Lake, admiring some ice floes, until we reach the viewpoint, where we&#39;ll observe the western part of the Paine Massif and the Southern Ice Field (Grey Glacier). Then we&#39;ll head to the Nordensjold Lake sector, arriving at Salto Grande. Here, we&#39;ll disembark for a hike of approximately 45 minutes round trip, weather permitting. We&#39;ll also reach the Pehoe Lake sector, disembarking at this sector&#39;s viewpoint, from which we&#39;ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the lake and its surroundings. This experience will allow you to explore the steppes and pampas of Patagonia, stopping at different viewpoints and observing the flora and fauna of the area so you can take the most beautiful photographs and admire this wonderful Patagonian landscape. An excellent trekking excursion of 9 to 10 hours in total (ascent and descent), which will take you with our certified guides to the Torres Base viewpoint. Pick-up takes place in the morning between approximately 6:15 and 7:00 at your accommodation. Then we will head towards Torres del Paine National Park, after a 2-hour drive, we will arrive at the starting point of our hike. After a briefing from our guide, we&#39;ll begin our hike along the trail toward an ancient bridge that crosses the Asencio River. After a 1-hour hike, we&#39;ll reach Camp El Chileno, nestled in the shade of a spectacular lenga forest, crossing several slopes that drop off Mount Almirante Nieto. After a brief stop, we&#39;ll continue our journey to the next viewpoint, at an altitude of 700 meters. From here, the trail becomes steeper. Half an hour later, we&#39;ll reach Las Torres Base at the eastern end of the lagoon, where we&#39;ll enjoy spectacular views of the three towers and Mount Peineta and Mount Nido de Cóndores. With this view, we&#39;ll have time to rest and enjoy our box lunch. Then, we&#39;ll return along the same path until we reach the starting point, where we&#39;ll board the vehicle that will take us back to Puerto Natales. Trekking of moderate complexity. We&#39;ll begin with a visit to Milodon Cave, a remarkable natural monument where a giant sloth was discovered in 1896. A life-size replica of the prehistoric creature, which resembles a large bear, stands at the entrance. Several caves are accessible, such as the Silla del Diablo rock formation, known as Devil&#39;s Chair in Spanish. Next, we&#39;ll reach Castle Hill, where we&#39;ll stop at a beautiful village before entering the park, traveling along Lake Sarmiento with its stunning natural beauty. We&#39;ll then continue along Lake Nordenskjold, Salto Grande, and Lake Grey. We&#39;ll stop at Hosteria Lago Grey for lunch and visit the Grey Glacier that feeds the lake. We&#39;ll return to Puerto Natales via Amarg Lagoon, along a road with excellent views of Torres del Paine (weather permitting). This tour connects two of the four access points to Torres del Paine National Park, allowing you to visit a little-known area that is highly attractive for wildlife viewing. Its landscape is undoubtedly worth exploring. Upon entering the park through the Lago Sarmiento entrance, we&#39;ll begin our trail with a gentle incline and side views of the imposing lake of the same name. Almost the entire route borders private property, a frequent habitat for the region&#39;s largest predator: the puma. After about an hour&#39;s walk, we&#39;ll reach a rock shelter where we can see a series of cave paintings over 6,000 years old. The conditions of this area allowed it to be frequented by indigenous groups for thousands of years as they searched for food across the American continent. Here, we&#39;ll be able to photograph the landscape and understand the rugged geography associated with the rise of high peaks and expanses of land toward the east. After a two-hour hike, we&#39;ll reach the park&#39;s main entrance: the Laguna Amarga entrance. Before beginning the descent through conglomerate rocks, we&#39;ll observe the winding shape of the Paine River. After a stop for services, we&#39;ll return to the vehicle and continue on to the Paine Waterfall area. The journey continues towards Cañadón Macho, an area where it is possible to observe large groups of guanacos living alongside species such as the rhea, the gray fox, the condor, the black-faced eagle, among others. Having completed our journey through this extensive valley, we will begin our return to the city of Puerto Natales with the feeling of having experienced a true journey of adventure, far from the crowds and immersed in the wilds of Southern Patagonia. We&#39;ll depart Puerto Natales at 7:00 a.m., heading directly to the Las Torres sector. After a long drive, we&#39;ll arrive at Cerro Paine Farm, the starting point of our excursion. Before that, the tour guide will advise us on this long walk. Next, we&#39;ll begin our excursion into the valley. After 10 minutes, we&#39;ll pass an old suspension bridge that crosses the Ascencio River. About 150 meters ahead, we&#39;ll see a sign that will take us to Las Torres Base. Later, we&#39;ll climb a winding slope for an hour surrounded by sparse vegetation. After 45 minutes, we&#39;ll reach the Chileno camp, located on the banks of the Ascencio River. From this point onwards the trail becomes more difficult and after an hour and ten minutes we will reach the eastern part of the lake, where we will have a wonderful view of the three towers (Central, Monzino, Dagostini). After resting and having lunch in this extraordinary and unique place, we&#39;ll begin our return journey along the same route until we reach the point where our driver dropped us off. At the end of the day, we&#39;ll return to Puerto Natales. Enjoy a stunning landscape filled with unique flora and fauna that leads to stunning views of the glaciers. Our journey begins at the Puerto Natales pier. We&#39;ll travel along the magnificent Seno Ultima Esperanza sea passage, and you&#39;ll enjoy spectacular views of the region&#39;s unique flora (coige, Chilean tern, lenga, inde, Chilco, and calafate) and fauna (sea lions, cormorants, condors, and gulls). Along the coast, we&#39;ll reach the Loberias, a habitat for sea lions. Arriving at Monte Balmaceda, we&#39;ll witness the power of glaciers, how they shape and transform the place. See the Balmaceda Glacier, whose large chunks break off and fall into the fjord&#39;s waters. A small lagoon also forms from the freezing and thawing of the Serrano Glacier. We&#39;ll depart from your hotel in Puerto Natales at approximately 7:00 or 10:00 am (depending on the confirmed sailing time) to Hotel Lago Grey, where you&#39;ll check in (9:00 am or 12:00 pm). After check-in, we&#39;ll head to the boat to begin the cruise to the Grey Glacier, an unmissable excursion. It allows us to enjoy an incomparable landscape of floating icebergs, lush vegetation, and imposing mountains. From the hotel, we&#39;ll spend the next 40 minutes crossing native forest to reach the Pingo River, where we&#39;ll cross its bridge. We&#39;ll then reach the shores of Lake Grey, where we&#39;ll embark. This tour takes approximately 3 hours. After a 1-hour and 15-minute cruise, we&#39;ll reach the foot of the Grey Glacier. From a very short distance, you&#39;ll be able to appreciate the beauty and grandeur of the glacier&#39;s 20-meter-high ice walls. Marvel at this ancient ice cluster while enjoying a typical Pisco Sour. Once we arrive and marvel at the glacier, we&#39;ll have time for a meal or coffee at the main Lago Grey Hotel (if desired) while we await our transfer back to Puerto Natales. Our arrival time will be approximately 5:00 PM in Puerto Natales. Pick-up in the winter season is at 8:00 am, check-in will be at 10:00 am and departure at 11:00 am (May to September) ?
