Bilbao is a city that, despite the wars that marked the beginning of the 19th century, continued to develop. From 1875 onwards, an unprecedented period of economic boom began, driven by mining, trade, and port activities. Simultaneously, the steel industry gained strength, and shipbuilding became the main engine of economic growth in the region. However, all this progress came to an end—and a price to pay. Around 1970, the mines began to run out, triggering a profound economic crisis. What at first seemed like a monumental tragedy, capable of destroying everything in its path, ended up opening the way for an unprecedented transformation in the city&#39;s history. This forced change led Bilbao to reinvent itself, giving rise to the vibrant and characterful tourist city we know today. Come explore Bilbao and discover how this resilient city has transformed challenges into opportunities, becoming a remarkable tourist destination steeped in history.

The Basque coast is a wild and natural place full of tradition and delicious cuisine. The tour begins at 9:00 am in downtown Bilbao, then follows the right bank of the river, passing through the industrial towns of Barakaldo, Sestao, and Portugalete. Once in Getxo, we&#39;ll reach the famous Suspension Bridge, where we&#39;ll make a brief stop for those who wish to climb it for stunning views of the bay. We&#39;ll travel past the 45-meter-high Butron Castle and Mungia. From here, we&#39;ll head to the coast of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, a beautiful chapel on a rock surrounded by the sea. We&#39;ll continue along the coast to the fishing village of Bermeo, where we&#39;ll stop for a visit. Next, we&#39;ll travel along the coast of Mundaka, where we&#39;ll enjoy its beauty and magnificent views of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve. We continued to the emblematic city of Gernika to visit its famous Opera House. We will return to Bilbao Bizkaia with beautiful landscapes arriving at the hotel around 3:00 pm. The tour begins in Bilbao and continues straight along the highway to Biarritz where we will take a panoramic tour of the most beautiful and interesting places of this residential and tourist city with its Lighthouse, Beaches, Old Port, Casino, Museum of the Sea, Rocher de la Vierge, Hotel Du Palais, former residence of Napoleon. We will continue the route to the beautiful village of St. Jean de Luz, where we will visit on foot its most interesting areas with its historic buildings and its typical port. We will continue along the coast until we reach Hondarribia. Once in Hondarribia, you&#39;ll have free time for lunch. Our guide will recommend the best places for pintxos or tasting menus, both in restaurants and on terraces. In the afternoon, we will continue the route to San Sebastián where we will take a panoramic tour of its most interesting areas, avenues, bridges, Paseo de la Concha, etc., including the climb to Monte Igueldo to finish with a walking tour of the typical old town full of history with its most emblematic buildings such as the Church of the Virgen del Coro, City Hall, Puerto Viejo, Aquarium, etc. Free time to enjoy the bay and its magnificent views or have a coffee in front of Playa de la Concha. Return directly by highway to reach the center of Bilbao in the late afternoon. Notes: Please note that the tour does not include hotel pick-up. Please arrive 15 minutes early. This tour covers part of your journey in France. In the event of temporary restrictions on access to France, the itinerary would cover the entire Basque coast: Hondarribia, San Sebastián (with free time for lunch), and Getaria. Our first stop will be in Haro, the wine capital of La Rioja, where we&#39;ll visit CVNE, a centuries-old winery that&#39;s emblematic of the region. We&#39;ll take a guided tour of its essential spaces, including the barrel room, designed by legendary architect Gustave Eiffel. We&#39;ll pass through the underground cellars (a cemetery) and enjoy a wine tasting. After visiting the winery, we&#39;ll take a guided walking tour of Haro&#39;s historic center, including the Plaza de la Paz. We&#39;ll continue our journey through the Haro Station neighborhood, home to the largest number of centuries-old wineries, before heading to the beautiful medieval town of Laguardia. In Laguardia, we&#39;ll stroll through its picturesque streets, a town renowned in Rioja Alavesa for its Historic Monumental Complex and magnificent wineries. We&#39;ll visit a small, traditional winery where we&#39;ll learn about the winemaking process from a family perspective. At the end of the winery visit, we will have free time for lunch. Your guide will recommend the best places to eat. Return directly to Bilbao via the highway and arrive in the center of Bilbao in the middle of the afternoon.
