Take a train to the 1800s and admire the timeless splendor of California's towering redwoods. The iconic Skunk Train has been chugging along since 1885, and treating its passengers to the same magnificent views ever since. Hop aboard and wind your way through spectacular old-growth redwood groves, sweeping hillsides, historic trestle bridges, atmospheric tunnels, and into the awe-inducing heart of the Noyo River canyon. 

The train will come to a halt in Crowley, so you can hop off to stretch your legs, fill your lungs with fresh forest air and get up close to one of the most famous and breathtaking trees on the route – the majestic Wolf Tree. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife on the way; the area is home to blue herons, osprey, egrets, deer, river otters, and lots more.
