Since the founding of Berlin, the Jewish community has always been present. The passing centuries have seen them experience both ups and downs. Expelled during the Prussian era, they were allowed and denied residence on several occasions until Nazism marked the darkest period in their history. The tour of the Jewish Museum of Berlin and the neighborhood will allow you to visually appreciate Jewish culture and understand aspects of their lives, which were sometimes difficult. The tour will be conducted with a maximum of 15 people per group. We'll begin our tour in the Kreuzberg neighborhood, in front of the main entrance of the Jewish Museum. We'll enter with a guide to see the permanent exhibition up close. Then, we'll travel by public transportation to visit the New Synagogue of Berlin, which gleams with gold in the sunlight. We will visit the Jewish Cemetery, where we will not find a tomb, but a sculpture, because despite being a sacred field, Germany, dominated by the Nazi regime, looted it in 1943. The tour of Berlin's Jewish quarter is a perfect visit to learn many details about life before and after the persecution, which led many to end up in different concentration or extermination camps, such as Sachsenhausen. What effect did the infamous 'Night of Broken Glass' and the 'Wannsee Conference' have on Berlin's Jewish population? How the Jewish people gained privileges during the great Kaiser Wilhelm's time, and how these were revoked during their persecution in the Third Reich, are questions we will answer throughout our journey. We will be able to see Berlin's modernist courtyards and courtyards, located at Hackescher Markt, where we will end the tour. This tour is powered by lis10app technology. We enhance the tour quality and respect other visitors. Notes: Please note that the tour does not include hotel pick up. Berlin - Private guided tour in Portuguese with an Official iFriend Guide

On this tour of the center of the German capital, we will have the opportunity to walk while listening to the explanations of a historian, through places that illustrate what Berlin was like in the Middle Ages, how the city became the capital of the Kingdom of Prussia, and finally the capital of the German Empire, which fell with the defeat of the First World War. We will also look at Berlin as the capital of Nazism, understanding the persecutions carried out by the regime and seeing the scars of the effects of World War II and the post-war period on the city, which was divided by the Berlin Wall and became the epicenter of the Cold War. The places we will visit include: Reichstag (German parliament), Weiße Kreuze Memorial (victims of the Berlin Wall), part of the Tiergarten with Memorial to the Sinti and Roma ("gypsies") victims of Nazism, Brandenburg Gate, Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Memorial to the Burned Books, Humboldt University, Unter den Linden Avenue and Prussian architecture, Neue Wache (Royal Guard), headquarters of the Memorial to the Victims of War and Tyranny, Zeughaus, the house of arms of the Prussian monarchy, Museum Island, Lustgarten, Berlin Cathedral, Humboldt Forum and the palaces of the Prussian monarchy in Berlin, River Spree, Alexanderplatz, TV Tower, Rotes Rathaus (Berlin City Hall), Nikolaiviertel, the medieval quarter of Berlin. If it's not too hot, I suggest a wind-blocking jacket;

It's a good idea to check the weather forecast and, if necessary, have a raincoat, umbrella, or any other essential item ready before the tour, as you'll be exposed to the elements for a few hours. The tour can be done even in the rain;

Wear comfortable shoes, such as sneakers, considering that we will be walking for a few hours;

It's also a good idea to have a snack in your backpack in case you get hungry, right? There are no meal breaks during the tour;

There are some bathrooms along the walk, but some of them are paid, sometimes with a credit card, sometimes with coins (they cost 50 cents).
