The city of Aparecida is located in the Paraíba Valley region, 166 km from the city of São Paulo. It is home to the National Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aparecida, the largest Marian shrine in the world, receiving seven million pilgrims annually and considered the largest Marian shrine in the world.
