Discover two of Madrid's most important cities in one day: Segovia and Toledo.
In the morning, we'll depart for the city of three cultures, Toledo. We'll stroll through the streets of a city that was declared a World Heritage Site in 1986.
During our visit, we'll have the opportunity to visit the Primate Cathedral of Toledo, built on the remains of an ancient Arab mosque. Admire the details of its façade and the grand bell tower before entering. Visit the interior and the sacristy, filled with works of art, where you'll find fifteen works by El Greco.
After visiting the Cathedral, we'll have a little free time in the city, which you can spend shopping or enjoying a coffee. After this time, it'll be time to return to Madrid. You'll have approximately an hour for lunch.
With our batteries recharged, we'll leave the Julià Travel office and head to Segovia. We'll park right near the Aqueduct, the first monument we'll see in the city. Composed of 167 arches, it's considered one of the best-preserved in the world.
We'll have the opportunity to take a walking tour of the city, which will first take us to Plaza Mayor. There are several monuments here, such as Segovia City Hall and the Juan Bravo Theater, but the main attraction is the Cathedral. We'll enter the Cathedral, where we'll enjoy a comprehensive guided tour.
At the end of our visit to the Cathedral's interior, we'll have some free time. Our next stop will be the Alcazar, one of the best-preserved and most famous medieval castles in the world. It's even said to have inspired Walt Disney for some of his films, such as Cinderella's Castle and the Queen's Castle in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
After visiting the Alcázar, it will be time to return to Madrid.
