Description
The Amazon region has a very large predominance of the rubber tree, the main raw material for the production of latex. Belterra was discovered as a region with fertile soil and favorable relief characteristics for the development and exploitation of the rubber tree. This aroused in Henry Ford the interest in founding a city to start the Ford Project, with the entire American structure set up in that region.
