On this 1.5 hour tour with a passionate Scot for a guide, you'll cast your eyes and your cameras on the main sights of Inverness! From castles to cathedrals, to churches and maybe even the Loch Ness Monster, you'll see it all in the capital of the Highlands. You might even discover a few hidden gems sparkling about the bonnie wee city, too.

Learn how the city has grown from its humble beginnings as a royal city. Hear stories of castle sieges and Jacobite risings and see for yourself why Inverness is officially the happiest city in Scotland.

Discover the splendour of the western Highlands on a coach tour of Skye & Eilean Donan, and fall in love with Scotland's spectacular scenery at every step along the way. Witness mother nature in all her rugged glory as you breeze across crumbling coastlines, airy glens, and vast sweeping valleys.

Join a full-day Isle of Skye tour from Inverness. Travel along Loch Ness and continue west to Eilean Donan Castle, where you can take an optional tour.

After crossing the Skye Bridge, head to Portree for lunch and get time to visit the harbour.

In the afternoon, explore several key sights on the Trotternish Peninsula, including the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, and the Quiraing.

After taking in these views, we return to Inverness in the evening.

Visit Inverness Castle to learn about the Scottish Highlands. See exhibitions that showcase the region's cultural and historical elements through interactive displays.

Explore the north and south towers, where visual and audio presentations detail the region's valuable traditions and heritage. View crafted items and hear instrumental compositions representing local stories.

From the towers, observe the entire townscape of Inverness from a higher vantage point. The 19th-century castle stands on the grounds of previous structures, one of which was involved in a historical event with Mary, Queen of Scots.

Then, explore the city's landmarks like the cathedral and natural sites at your own pace with an audio guide.

Join a Loch Ness tour from Inverness and experience several key Scottish highlights in one day.

Start with a cruise on Loch Ness and a visit to the 13th-century ruins of Urquhart Castle. Enjoy free time in Beauly for lunch in local cafés and a visit to Beauly Priory, which appears in the Outlander book *Dragonfly in Amber*.

Next, visit a Highland whisky distillery, where you can learn about whisky and choose whether to sample a dram. Then, continue to Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns to explore their history.

The tour returns to Inverness in the early evening. In winter, the route runs in reverse.

Take a trip through the Scottish Highlands and start by visiting Loch Ness, with a stop near Urquhart Castle for photographs. Travel southward to visit the Commando Memorial with views towards the Nevis Range and Ben Nevis.

Board the Jacobite Steam Train in Fort William, which will transport you to Mallaig, a fishing village where you can spend time enjoying local attractions.

On the return journey, follow the Road to the Isles, stopping at Fort Augustus, where you can see the Caledonian Canal and walk alongside Loch Ness. Conclude the tour with a visit to Dores Beach before returning to Inverness.
