We began our journey at the hotel in El Calafate, heading towards the village of El Chaltén, the National Capital of Trekking, located 220 km away. Halfway there, after crossing the Santa Cruz River, we will make a technical stop at Estancia La Leona, where you can use the restrooms and sample local sweets (not included). We continued our journey towards El Chaltén, skirting Lake Viedma and its glacier. During the journey, weather permitting, we will have stunning views of the Chaltén (also known as Fitz Roy) and Torre mountains. Upon arriving at the mountain village of El Chaltén, we will do some light hiking, including a visit to the Mirador de los Condores, a 700-meter trail with low physical demands. Next, we will visit Chorrillo del Salto, a completely flat walk of approximately 300 meters. Visitors will be accompanied by a guide at all times. Lunch will be served at a restaurant in the center of El Chaltén, with homemade food and drinks included. Finally, we will have about 30 minutes of free time to explore the city center before we begin our return to El Calafate.
