An incredible place, in the heart of one of the seven wonders of Brazil!
The visit consists of a climb up the tower of the Pedras de Canela Cathedral.
It has a museum of sacred art, telling the story of the Cathedral and Canon João Marchesi (its creator), narrated by hundreds of objects that portray the customs, religiosity and culture of Canela, between the 1940s and 1970s.
The climb ends at the "Independence Carillon," a set of bells made by the Giacomo Crespi Foundry in São Paulo and weighing approximately four tons. The bells depict, in high relief, the religious life of the country, state, and municipality, with images of events and figures from our homeland.
Once you reach the top, you can still enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the city of Canela, contemplating it from the side balconies.
