Búzios was a quiet fishing village when its beaches began to be popular for summer vacations in the 1950s. Some time later, a visit by a young Brigitte Bardot revealed the resort to the world. Since then, Búzios has never gone out of style. The low-slung houses, the windows on Rua das Pedras, the boutique inns, and the lively nightlife make Búzios a desirable destination in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
