Scenic Route to the Heart of San Juan: Jachal Church Valleys

Embark on a fascinating adventure through the northern part of the province, where time seems to stand still. Our first stop takes us to the historic Department of Jáchal, a place where ancient adobe houses and narrow paths tell stories of centuries past. Here, in the heart of the city, stands the impressive Archdiocesan Sanctuary of San José de Jáchal, declared a National Historic Monument. Its greatest treasure is the enigmatic Black Christ, a stunning, life-size, articulated, leather figure of the Crucified Christ, which leaves the beholder breathless.
We continue our journey along the iconic Route 150, entering the majesty of the central foothills. The breathtakingly beautiful mountain landscapes accompany us throughout the journey. We arrive in Rodeo, the charming headquarters of the Iglesia Department, where the imposing Cuesta del Viento Dam invites us to stop and admire its serenity.
Our next stop will take us to the relaxing Pismanta Hot Springs, an oasis of peace and well-being nestled in the mountains. On the way back, we'll pass through the picturesque villages of Las Flores and Bella Vista, climbing to the summit of El Colorado, the highest point on the route, where the panoramic views are simply unforgettable.
As the sun begins to set behind the hills, we begin our return to the city of San Juan, taking with us indelible memories of this unique trip.
