The best of Segovia with the Cathedral and El Alcazar

On this half-day tour, you'll visit the city of Segovia, located in the neighboring autonomous community of Castile and León. You'll have the opportunity to visit spectacular sites such as the Roman aqueduct, the imposing Alcazar with its pointed towers, and the Segovia Cathedral.

Leaving Madrid, you will head in the morning to Segovia, a small city that will surprise you from the moment you get off the bus.

The walking tour will begin at the Aqueduct, one of Spain's oldest monuments. Over 16 kilometers long, it was built over 2,000 years ago. During the visit, you'll learn how it was built, why cement was not used, and the route taken by water to reach Segovia.

After learning about the history of the Segovia Aqueduct, we'll head up to Plaza Mayor. You'll discover some of the city's monuments, such as the Casa de los Picos, whose façade features 617 granite peaks, or Plaza Medina del Campo, home to the Church of San Martín, built in 1117, and the Torreón de Lozoya, which you can climb at your leisure and enjoy stunning views of Segovia.

Once you arrive at the Plaza Mayor you will find different monuments that will impress you, such as the Ayuntamiento, the Teatro Juan Bravo and the Cathedral of Segovia, where you will take a complete guided tour of its interior. At the end of your visit to the Cathedral, you will have free time to enjoy Segovia at home.

At the agreed time, we will meet again at the Plaza Mayor. It will be time to drive to the Alcázar of Segovia, one of the most famous and best preserved medieval castles in the world. The Alcázar is probably reminiscent of some Disney castles, as its exterior architecture served as inspiration for some of Walt Disney's films, such as the Castillo de Cenicienta or the Castillo de la Reina en Blancanieves and the Siete Enanitos.
