King Penguin and Tierra del Fuego Tour

The day begins with a 7:00 AM pickup from your hotel in Punta Arenas, followed by a transfer to the Tres Puentes terminal to take the 2-hour ferry across the Strait of Magellan to the island of Tierra del Fuego. Disembark at Chilota Bay, and from there, it's a 5-kilometer journey to the town of Porvenir, where you'll see the main square, Plaza de Armas Selknam. Later, we'll visit its small but very interesting museum, where we'll find a view of the city.
Later, we continue our journey to King Penguin Park, 114 km from the city. This trip lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and much of it is around Inútil Bay. The park is a unique observation site, where, as we follow the trail, we spot a group of about 30 to 40 individuals of this species, approximately 15 to 20 meters apart. After an hour at the site, we continue our journey, observing from the route the helmet of Hacienda Josefina, one of the most important on the island.
We'll also visit the oil-rich town of Cerro Sombrero. Finally, we'll cross the Strait of Magellan again, this time through its narrowest part (Primera Angostura, just a 20-minute sail). Depending on the date of your trip and the daylight hours, we may stop at the abandoned Estancia San Gregorio, one of the region's first and most historic, before returning to Punta Arenas.
