Ávila Line Tour with Lunch - Agritourism
The story of the lives of men and women – Germans, Italians, French, and people from Rio Grande do Sul – who chose a good place to live and, through their customs, abundant food, religiosity, and entrepreneurship, transformed the small mountain town into a tourist and cultural landmark.
Our first stop will be at the Wagner Family home, where delicious sweets and jams, produced by the couple Lírio and Terezinha, take center stage. The family's history, of German and Italian origin, is told while tourists explore the strawberry and fruit tree orchard surrounding the beautiful house built especially to welcome visitors. During fruit season, they offer a "pick and pay" experience, giving visitors a unique moment in nature.
At Cantina Nonno Giovanni, the story of Italian immigration is told by the couple Alcione and Marivani, in a welcoming atmosphere near their home. The production of artisanal wine in a disused tobacco barn captures the attention of visitors, who learn the formula for making wine. Cheeses, salamis, juices, preserves, honey, and homemade breads are available for tasting and purchase.
To conclude the itinerary, a stop at Sítio Tradição. A natural and traditional space dedicated to Gaucho culture in Gramado. Visitors will find a little bit of everything that is part of Gaucho culture. Here we will enjoy a delicious lunch of "costelão na vala" (ribs cooked in a pit). The site also offers horseback riding and demonstrations of horse training, and a lesson on chimarrão (a traditional South American infused drink).
Your tour starts at 8:30 am at the Agrotourism House, located in Praça das Etnias in Gramado;
