Nestled amidst valleys and streams in the towns of Campestre do Tigre and Tapera, where the protagonists of the book and film "O Quatrilho" lived, visitors are invited to learn about the history of the families who colonized these lands. Fruit cultivation and wine production, a colonial mill, the enchanting scenery of a viewpoint, nature, and abundant food transform the tour into an unforgettable experience.
Our first stop is at the home of the LAZARETTI FAMILY, who have been established on a small plot of land in the countryside of Gramado since 1880. Today, the fourth generation continues the cultivation of vines and the production of colonial wine and grappa. Their cellar, where visitors are welcomed, houses wooden barrels produced by the family.
We then went to the GRINGS MILL, built at the end of the 19th century by the Trentin and Dal Ri families. These families, some years later, gave rise to an unusual story that became a film: O Quatrilho. In 1952, the property passed to the Grings family, who continued the mill's operation, revitalizing it to meet the demands of the time, processing wheat, corn, rye, and rice, and also engaging in other activities such as agriculture and animal husbandry.
To end on a high note, the RAMM FAMILY opens the doors of their home and invites visitors on a journey to the past, marked by meaningful and unique experiences. Lunch, through its recipes, evokes the history, flavors, and traditions of the family in a location blessed by nature. An immersion in German and Italian culture, in a delicious lunch with wine and juice included.
