The tour includes transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle. ITINERARY Pick up from your hotel in central Cape Town. Victoria and Alfred is one of Cape Town&#39;s most popular neighborhoods. The neighborhood offers stunning ocean views and easy access to some of the city&#39;s best beaches. This is where you&#39;ll catch the ferry to Robben Island, which is 11 km from the mainland and a 40-45-minute ferry ride to the island. Ferry boarding closes 10 minutes before your chosen time. Ferries depart from Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island at the V&amp;A Waterfront. You&#39;ll disembark on the island and take a short walk to the buses that will transport you and a group of people to all the island&#39;s historical sites. On the way to the buses, you&#39;ll pass buildings and a high wall built by prisoners during the 1960s. The prison tour will be led by a Robben Island tour guide. They are experts on the island&#39;s 500-year history. The tour includes the leper cemetery, the lime quarry, Robert Sobukwe&#39;s house, the Bluestone quarry, the army and navy bunkers, and the Maximum Security Prison, where thousands of South African freedom fighters were incarcerated over the years. The tour culminates with a visit to Nelson Mandela&#39;s cell. Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison on Robben Island. Kloof Street Restaurant. South Africa&#39;s Iziko Museum, one of the oldest museums in sub-Saharan Africa, houses over half a million unique objects. Visitors can explore the rooms of this historic site, founded in 1897, and learn more about the history and people of Africa&#39;s southernmost country. The Long March to Freedom was formerly based in Pretoria. The new Long March to Freedom has a new home in Cape Town, in the suburb of Century City, about 10 km from the city center. The Long March to Freedom is part of a larger ensemble of over 500 life-size bronze icons of South Africa&#39;s struggle for freedom. Together, the figures represent a chronology of South Africa&#39;s 350-year journey to democracy. It begins in 1652 with the establishment of the Dutch East India colony in Cape Town and ends in 1994 with the country&#39;s first democratic elections. It is the world&#39;s largest outdoor sculptural exhibition of individuals and uses public art to celebrate the country&#39;s heritage, offering visitors the opportunity to learn about South Africa&#39;s history in an unusual and entertaining way. Directly across from the Long March to Freedom statues is the Canal Walk mall. Built in 2000, this shopping center surrounds the canal. It has over 400 stores. Here you can do some shopping and enjoy the impeccable views (optional). Once you&#39;re done shopping at Canal Walk, we&#39;ll return to Cape Town city center to drop you off at your starting point. It&#39;s a beautiful panoramic viewpoint located between Clifton Beach and Glen Beach, in the prestigious Cape Town suburb of Campsbay. It&#39;s known for its magnificent views of Lion&#39;s Head and the Twelve Apostles, as well as the Atlantic Ocean. Dolphins are often seen playing in the water. Visit Seal Island, about 45 minutes back on a fantastic ocean safari. See playful seals, a variety of birds, and beautiful scenery. If you&#39;re lucky, you might spot majestic whales, playful dolphins, and other marine creatures, especially dolphins, great white sharks, penguins, seals, and whales. It&#39;s one of the most rewarding scenic drives in the world. The road hugs the nearly vertical face of the mountain, connecting Hout Bay to the Noordhoek district.
