The Crypt holds the mortal remains of bishops of São Paulo and historical figures such as Chief Tibiriçá. With more than a century of existence, the site houses an exhibition on the Holy Shroud of Turin and sculptures in Carrara marble, making this tour an unparalleled historical and spiritual experience.

Meeting point: left side of the Crypt, in front of the “TOUR” sign. Present your voucher at the Cathedral's office to exchange it for your tour wristband.

    O local é muito interessante e a guia é simpática e atenciosa. Só houve um problema: durante a visita, a guia fez comentários machistas muito inadequados. Por exemplo, ao dizer que a cripta foi cavada apenas com pás e com a força dos trabalhadores da época (sem máquinas), a guia disse: "imaginem a dificuldade de cavar toda essa área só com a força dos braços, as feministas que vivem pedindo direitos iguais não vieram ajudar, eu tenho certeza que se elas fossem chamadas para escavar a cripta não iam conseguir fazer esse trabalho". Ao ouvir essa declaração tao absurda e fora de contexto, eu disse a ela que discordava dessa. afirmação , pois conheço varias mulheres fortes, inclusive fisicamente e que fazem trabalho braçal melhor do que muitos pedreiros. marceneiros, mecânicos etc. Enfim: é muito triste ver uma pessoa que trabalha com com cultura e com história desmerecendo a luta das feministas que deram suas vidas para que hoje as mulheres possam votar, possam seguir uma profissão e serem quem elas quiserem.

The full tour is not recommended for people with reduced mobility due to the large number of steps to the dome.

SCHEDULE: Monday to Saturday: 8:30 am, 9:15 am, 10:00 am, 10:45 am, 11:30 am, 1:15 pm, 2:00 pm, 2:45 pm, 3:30 pm, 4:15 pm and 5:00 pm.

Sundays: 12:30 PM, 1:15 PM, 2:00 PM, 2:45 PM, 3:30 PM and 4:15 PM.
Duration: 20 to 30 minutes

NOTES:

Half-price tickets are sold only at the Cathedral's own office upon presentation of an official student ID (UBES - UNE-APNG), or an ID card for seniors 60+.

Children aged 0 to 10 are FREE, and those aged 11 to 15 pay half price.

Pets and drones are not allowed.

General information: full refund up to 14 days prior; 60% refund between 13 and 7 days prior; no refund after 6 days.
