Inca Trail Express to Machu Picchu 2 Days 1 Night Tour

If you dream of visiting Machu Picchu in a special way, the Short Inca Trail is the perfect choice. An incredible trek that combines stunning landscapes, fascinating archaeological sites and a magical arrival at the Lost City of the Incas.

We will start the day at the Ollantaytambo train station, from where we will board the train at around 6 am heading to km 104 of the railway. That's where our trail begins. After the entrance control, we will meet our guide and start the walk.

We will climb for approximately 3 hours to the impressive archaeological site of Wiñaywayna, where we will take a break to explore the site and listen to the guide's explanations. After lunch, we will continue for another 2 hours until we reach Intipunku, the Sun Gate, from where we will have the first unforgettable view of Machu Picchu. We will continue walking for about 45 minutes to the Inca city, where we will have time to take photos and enjoy all the energy of the place.

On the second day, we will take a complete guided tour of approximately 2.5 hours around Machu Picchu, learning about the history, mysteries and architecture of this World Heritage Site. After the tour, we will have some free time to explore on our own, before returning to Aguas Calientes and boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo.
