Description
Let's visit Parque das Aves, which is located on the road to the Falls, in front of the Iguaçu National Park Visitor Center, 2 km from Foz do Iguaçu International Airport and 14 km from the city center. It has 16 hectares of secondary forest, of which 7 hectares are used for facilities and the rest for the preservation area.
The visit takes place along marked trails in the middle of the jungle. They lead to different aviaries, each measuring 630 m2 and 8 meters high, enriched by a waterfall, bridges and lots of vegetation, where it is possible to appreciate the behavior of different species of birds. Other smaller nurseries include species from Southeast Asia, Oceania and Africa.
One of the nurseries houses moths and hummingbirds from the region. In other natural environments it is possible to find alligators and reptile nurseries. In the middle of the trail, you will be able to see a boa constrictor up close. At the end we will have a restaurant with an exclusive view of Lago dos Flamingos.
The park has more than 900 birds of 150 species, the majority of which are Brazilian birds. A third of species are considered threatened with extinction. All birds in the park come from zoos, breeding sites authorized by IBAMA and rehabilitation centers. All animals are registered in accordance with the Brazilian Society of Zoos and IBAMA. The place has a structure with a souvenir shop, bathrooms and a snack bar. Ideal for the whole family.
The Dreamland Complex is made up of five attractions, each completely different from the other. Here it is possible to take a trip back in time, as it has dinosaurs and wax statues with artists that have enchanted generations, it is also possible to travel the world with replicas of man-made monuments and it is also possible to admire classic works of motorcycles, Harley Davidson style. And coming to the present, it is possible to have a cold adventure in the heat of Foz do Iguaçu!
