If you’re visiting Kouri Island, then a trip to the Kouri Ocean Tower is a must-do.

Once you’re on Kouri Island, you’ll be surrounded by a palette of blue as the Pacific Ocean laps at the small island’s edges. If Kouri Island’s tiny size wasn’t already quaint enough, then hopping in an automatic golf cart and riding up to Kouri Ocean Tower will ensure it is.

Once you reach the tower, you’ll have access to the Shell Museum and the observation deck. At the museum you’ll find more than 10,000 rare seashells from around the world, with the chance to buy your own memento at the end.

Near the top of the 82-meter-tall tower you’ll get to enjoy uninterrupted views of the Pacific Ocean with mainland Okinawa on the horizon. After you’ve stopped to appreciate the scenic beauty, head to the top of the tower and ring the happiness bell to cement your memory.

Visit Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Ocean Expo Park, one of the largest in the world.

See Okinawa's marine biodiversity. Observe coral reefs and the Kuroshio Sea tank with whale sharks and manta rays.

Visit Nago Pineapple Park in Okinawa to ride a themed cart through fields and plantations. Learn about pineapple farming in the region and the production processes involved. Stop by the Wine House to observe how local pineapple wine is made. Watch performances by the park staff during your visit.

Visit Neo Park Okinawa located in Nago City. See diverse wildlife in an open natural park featuring species and ecosystems from around the world. Look at birds at Flamingo Lake, observe freshwater environments, and view tropical plant life and animals. The area presents simulated habitats such as the Amazonian forest, African plains, Southeast Asian regions, and Oceanian environments. Entry includes access to the park train for convenient transportation within the premises.

Visit Okinawa Fruits Land, a location featuring an orchard with numerous tropical fruit trees and various exhibits related to fruits and their seasons. Walk through pathways lined with different fruit varieties; observe birds in the Bird Zone, including colorful parrots; and see small structures styled as fairy houses throughout the grounds. Participate in interactive activities such as educational games and quizzes focused on mythology, plant sciences, and dietary topics. Admission includes a tropical fruit plate.
