Through the Houses and Gardens of Pijao Cittaslow in Quindio (Armenia - Coffee Axis)

It's a town classified as Cittaslow because it's unhurried and uninterrupted. It's the first with this classification in Colombia, offering visitors the tranquil atmosphere of a very particular population with customs rooted in the coffee culture of yesteryear. Here, the houses are characterized by their traditional architecture with large, beautiful interior gardens, a main square with picturesque verandas, and guesthouses. Upon arrival in the village, you'll be greeted at Café La Floresta by a specialized local guide who will take you on a guided tour of Pijao's four most emblematic historic houses. You'll interact with the families living in each house, visit each house and its beautiful gardens, and experience the pride of these women heads of households with their traditional furniture, photo albums, and a typical drink tasting during the guided tour. The visit lasts 20 minutes per house. We complement the village tour with visits to the square and the most representative streets.
