Grand Palace and Bangkok Canal Half-Day Group Tour

On this Bangkok canal sightseeing tour (or klongs, as they're known locally), you'll travel by motorboat on the Chao Phraya River to see the serene homestays and temples scattered along the canals that inspired Bangkok's nickname as the "Venice of the East." The canals around Bangkok serve as a natural highway for many local Thais going about their daily business, such as transporting their goods, particularly rice, to and from the rice fields.
A stop will be made at the beautifully decorated Temple of Dawn, or Wat Arun, which is one of Bangkok's most iconic landmarks and the most famous of the city's more than 400 Buddhist temples and monasteries. Next, it's on to the Grand Palace complex. This Grand Palace complex includes the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Keow), carved from a solid piece of translucent jade.
