Cristina Ranch (Farm) without down payment + Transfer

The tour begins with a boat trip along the northern arm of Lake Argentino to the mouth of the Upsala Channel, where we can appreciate the grandeur of the Upsala Glacier, one of the most important in Los Glaciares National Park. Located on the northwest shore of the lake, at the end of the Cristina arm, Estancia Cristina offers a unique setting. Founded in 1914 by Joseph P. Masters and his wife, the Estancia still preserves the essence of the history of this pioneering family, who transformed an inhospitable place into a true paradise.

A visit to Estancia Cristina combines nature, adventure, history, and pleasure. After sailing, we begin an ascent in 4x4 vehicles to the Continental Ice Refuge, traveling 9.5 km along a mountain road that crosses a landscape of great geological interest, once covered by glaciers. During the ascent, we reach an elevation of 550 meters.

Upon arriving at the refuge, we take a 20-minute walk through glacial erosion terrain, which leads us to the Upsala Glacier viewpoint. From this point, it is possible to contemplate a privileged view of the glacier front, Lake Guillermo, the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, and the Andes Mountains. Afterwards, we return to the Estancia in 4x4 vehicles.

At the Estancia, we visited the Costumbrista Museum, housed in an old sheep-shearing shed, where the history of the property is told. Afterwards, we took a guided walk to the Caterina River and visited the chapel and the historic center of the Estancia.

Among the activities, there is free time for lunch, which can be booked in advance or brought by the participants themselves.
