Island Tour: Murano, Burano and Torcello

Let's enjoy the panoramic tour of the islands of Venice, a day trip around the northern lagoon to visit Murano, Burano and Torcello. After a beautiful boat trip across the lagoon, we will make our first stop in Murano, the island of glass, famous worldwide for the art of glassmaking. We will visit a foundry to watch a demonstration of the traditional glassblowing technique. We will spend about 1 hour and 15 minutes in Murano.

We will continue to Burano, the jewel of the lagoon, known for its colorful houses and handmade lace work. We will stroll through the “calli” and watch the lacemakers in action. We will spend more time in Burano, arriving at lunchtime, when we can choose a typical restaurant for a quick meal or visit the lace shops. We will stay on the island for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Finally, we will visit Torcello, the quietest island and the first center of civilization in the lagoon. There, we will visit its ancient churches and understand the origins of Venice. We will spend approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in Torcello.

On the way back, we will sail across the lagoon, enjoying the panoramic view of St. Mark's Basin, where we can take beautiful photos of Venice and its surroundings.
